Fire Mitigation

Protect Your Property by Creating Wildfire Defensible Space. Following one of the warmest and driest winters on record, Utah has declared a statewide drought emergency with 100% of Utah experiencing drought conditions. Peterson Tree Care can help protect your property and establish the defensible space needed under Utah’s new Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) standards (House Bill 48). We strictly adhere to the standards set by the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands (FFSL), the International Society of Arboriculture, and ANSI A300 for the expert care of your grounds.

Utah House Bill 48 Information:
Embers cause up to 90% of wildfire home ignitions. Utah HB 48 mandates properties in Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) zones maintain defensible space to achieve a “Good Rating”, lowering tax fees and protecting home insurance.
